wow i sure wonder 🤔🤔 what the new layouts supposed to look like 🤔🤔🤔🤔 its a mystery

Don’t forget y’all that there’s a much better way for us to let Tumblr know what we think about specific changes, rather than @ ing staff or wip, and it’s sending in a support ticket and choosing feedback!

Tumblr reverted some of the asinine app decisions they made after a concerted feedback effort! So make sure to use this form! It’s what it’s for, but it’s not well advertised!

A Mini Guide to RSS Feeds

With all the talk about Twitter and social media going on, I felt really inspired to do a comic about RSS feeds. This is a really barebones guide but I hope it helps you stay updated with your favourite webcomics, artists and websites.

The nice thing about RSS feeds is that almost any kind of site has one, so if you wanted you could add user feeds from tumblr, twitter, mastodon, etc. here’s some helpful guides on how to add those (1) (2)

I hope you found this little guide helpful. I’m just a simple guy who’s passionate about RSS feeds, comics and staying updated using both. Go forth and make the feed of your dreams!
Topaz Comics | Topaz Comics RSS | Art BlogArt Blog RSS

Because this is seemingly relevant again!

An update is that I’m now using Feedbro as a social media alternative (while still using Feedly for webcomics).

I’ve written a little about it on my personal blog!

Reblogging here because I recommend RSS readers for blogs, newsletters, webcomics, even tumblr blogs. Whatever!

genuinely thinking about how dreamwidth lets you make your own layout not just for your blog but for your reading page. b/c why not let the user style it however they want. (it’s ads; ads are why. you can’t programmatically insert ads or do w/e virality-increasing garbage if the end user always has direct control over what modules are inserted and what the actual markup of those modules look like)

like i don’t really use dreamwidth much but i am considering getting a paid account there just because you know. they have a viable business model that i can actually support

Transphobes aren’t attacking bathrooms randomly. It’s not about protecting women and children, it’s about preventing trans people from participating in public life.

Access to toilet facilities are essential to being able to participate in public life.

It’s why society was so reluctant to introduce public bathrooms for women, because before that all public bathrooms were for men only.

It’s why society was so reluctant to desegregate toilets for Black people.

It’s why society was and is so reluctant to create disability-accessible bathroom stalls.

If a person can’t access a toilet, then it’s extremely difficult to impossible for them to participate in society.

So, the best way to exclude a group of people from society without putting up a literal sign saying “x group of people not allowed” is to prevent them from accessing the bathroom.
